HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men's tennis opened 2019 with 4-0 victories over both Indiana and Bryant on a snowy Sunday at the Boss Tennis Center.

Dartmouth vs. Indiana
Wins at the top two doubles spots gave the first point of the match to the Big Green. Finishing first at the No. 2 position were sophomores
Peter Conklin and
Casey Ross with their 6-3 victory, and they were followed by juniors
David Horneffer and
Charlie Broom with a 7-6 win at the No. 1 position.

Horneffer soon made it 2-0 with his 6-3, 6-3 victory over No. 110 Zac Brodney at the No. 3 spot, while sophomore
Dan Martin added another point with his 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over No. 96 Bennett Crane at No. 2. Conklin clinched the match by taking down Brandon Lam, 7-6, 7-5 at the No. 4 position.

Dartmouth vs. Bryant
In their second match of the day, the Big Green got things started with Conklin and Ross' 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles. Bryant followed that up with a win at the top spot, but a 6-4 victory by Martin and freshman
Pierce Widdecombe put Dartmouth ahead heading into singles.

Ross had a 6-1, 6-2 defeat of Jorge Isaias Ortiz-Garcia at the No. 5 spot, while freshman
Sid Chari got the home team one point closer to clinching with his 6-1, 6-2 victory over Andrew Pregel at the No. 6 position. Horneffer ended the match with his 6-2, 6-3 win against Alexander Schou at the No. 3 position.

This coming weekend, Dartmouth will compete in the ITA Kickoff Weekend at Columbia. The Green will take on Kentucky on Saturday and an unknown opponent on Sunday.
