NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Dartmouth men's tennis team fell to No. 14 Columbia by a score of 4-1 in the final match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Sunday.

The Lions (2-0) had a 6-2 win at the No. 3 doubles, while the Big Green (3-1) got a victory of their own when juniors
Charlie Broom and
David Horneffer defeated fourth ranked duo William Matheson and Jack Lin, 6-3, at the top spot. Columbia walked away with the first point after 20th ranked Adam Ambrozy and Jackie Tang defeated sophomores
Peter Conklin and
Casey Ross in a very close match at the No. 2 position by a score of 7-6 (7-5).

Wins at the No. 6 and 2 singles positions gave the Lions a 3-0 edge before No. 27 Broom had a 6-2, 6-2 win over No. 40 Lin to give Dartmouth its lone victory of the match. The host team added one more victory at the No. 5 spot to clinch.

Next weekend, the Green will play just one match, hosting Louisville on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m.
