David Horneffer and
Charlie Broom had another good day at the ITA Northeast Regional Championship at Penn.

"We saw a really good level of tennis all around for both guys today," head coach
Xander Centenari said. "Charlie got off to a good start and carried that momentum through both of his singles matches. Charlie and Dave are playing disciplined, bold doubles. These guys are hungry and we're looking forward to the opportunity to play again tomorrow."

The duo had an 8-5 win over Penn's Dmitry Shatalin and Kevin Zhu to advance to the semifinal.

In singles, Broom went 2-0. He first had a 6-1, 6-1 victory over the Quakers' Aditya Gupta before defeating Vladislav Melnic of Cornell, 6-2, 6-4, to move on to the quarterfinal. Horneffer played well against Princeton's Karl Poling, but fell by scores of 6-3, 6-4.
