Dartmouth and Vermont battle for twin state bragging rights in a non-conference matchup Tuesday night at Burnham Field.
IVY OPENING WIN
- The Big Green set the tone for the remainder of the Ivy League slate with a 1-0 win over defending conference champion Princeton Saturday night.
- It was only the third time the Tigers were shutout all year.
- Eric Sachleben scored his first career goal in the 72nd minute off assists from Ahria Simons and Ohad Yahalom.
- Goalkeeper Alex Budnik finished with four saves for his second shutout of the year.
- Dartmouth is 4-0-2 against Princeton in its last six meetings with the Tigers.
SCOUTING VERMONT
- The Catamounts come into Tuesday with a 5-4-0 record and have won two out of their last three games. They are currently fourth in the America East standings with a 1-1 record.
- Vermont most recently fell to Albany, 3-1, and they have not lost consecutive games this season.
- They have taken on one Ivy League opponent and defeated Harvard, 4-2.
- The Catamounts are outscoring opponents 15-13 this season.
- Rasmus Tobinski leads the team and the America East in nearly every offensive category. He has seven goals, 16 points, 38 shots, 19 shots on goal and three game winning goals.
