Charlie Broom won his consolation match at the ITA National Fall Championship on Thursday.

Facing Jose Dugo of Georgia Gwinnett, Broom won a very close first set, 7-6(3), but dropped the second, 7-5. He came back to win the third set by a score of 6-2 to take the match.

In doubles, he and classmate
David Horneffer took on Michigan's Andrew Fenty and Kristofer Simmar, playing a good match, but ultimately falling, 6-3, 6-3.

Broom will play his second-round consolation match against Gregor Ramskogler of Mississippi State on Friday.
