HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's tennis dropped a close match to Boston University by a score of 4-3 at the Boss Tennis Center on Saturday.
The Big Green won the first point of the afternoon after 6-3 victories at the No. 3 and 1 positions. Senior
Allison Chuang and sophomore
Madison Hwang were the first to finish at No. 3, followed by junior
Racquel Lyn and sophomore
Abigail Chiu at the top spot. Freshmen
Nina Paripovic and
Jingyi Peng played a good match, but narrowly fell by a score of 7-5.
Junior
Chuyang Guan put Dartmouth up, 2-0, thanks to a 6-2, 6-4 win over Lily Burchell at the No. 5 position. The Terriers got their first point at No. 1, but freshman
Nicole Conard's 6-3, 6-4 win over Emily Kim at the No. 3 position followed soon after.
BU went on to win the next three singles matches (all of which went to three sets) to clinch.
On Sunday, Dartmouth will host St. John's at 2 p.m.
