Drew O'Connor, Fr., Chatham, N.J., F, Men's Hockey
The Dartmouth rookie scored another late, important goal when he found the back of the net with just 32.9 seconds remaining in regulation Friday night in Potsdam, New York. The redirect goal was the only score of the contest and proved to be the game winner in the Big Green's 1-0 win over No. 11 Clarkson. The score was O'Connor's team-leading 10th of the season and helped Dartmouth to its second straight win at Clarkson with the Golden Knights ranked in the top-15 in both contests. The rookie from New Jersey is the team leader in goals (10) and points (17) with just two weeks left in the regular season.
Chloe Puddifant, Fr., Calgary, Alberta, F, Women's HockeyChloé Puddifant scored the game winner in the 3-2 victory over Clarkson on Friday, netting Jennifer Costa's rebound with 9.4 seconds remaining in overtime. With time winding down, sophomore Costa took a chance that was stopped by Kassidy Sauve, but the rebound was sent directly to Puddifant. The rookie one-timed it over the goalie's left shoulder before she could react. Sophomore Katerina Dajia picked up the second assist. This is the first time that Dartmouth has defeated the defending national champion since 2011.
