HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth led 6-1 after four innings, but Penn scored 14 combined runs in the fifth and sixth innings to take Saturday afternoon's contest, 17-10. The Big Green (4-19, 1-5 Ivy) collected 11 hits for their 10 runs, while the Quakers (13-11, 5-4 Ivy) used 16 hits to score their 17 runs.

Micah Schroder and
Schae Nelson each finished 3-4 at the plate. Schroder drove in five runs and scored three with a home run, a double and a single, while Nelson had two RBI with a base hit and a sacrifice fly.
Calista Almer had a multi-hit day as well with scored two runs.

With the Big Green already ahead 1-0 in the second, Schroder rocketed an opposite field line drive to left that barely cleared the fence for her third home run of the season to put Dartmouth up 2-0. Penn scored its first run in the fourth on a bases loaded walk to make it a one-run game.

After
Tessa Grossman and
McKenna Gray both reached to lead off the bottom of the fourth, it was Schroder again who drove in both runs with a double. Dartmouth was not done yet. In the same inning,
Taylor Ward scored from third on a wild pitch and Nelson drove home Schroder with a single to extend the Big Green lead to 6-1.

All the momentum swung Penn's way in the fifth. The Quakers brought 13 batters to the plate and score nine runs on seven hits to take a 10-6 advantage. In the inning, Julia Schneider brought in two with a double, Sarah Ketring hit a three-run home run, Sarah Cwiertnia drove in a couple more with a two-bagger and two more runs scored on an error.

Schroder did all she could at the plate for the Big Green. The junior made it a two-run game in the home half of the fifth with a two RBI double to right center, bringing the deficit to 10-8.

The offensive production continued for the Penn who scored five more runs in the sixth. They Quakers did it with back-to-back doubles and two base hits to go up, 15-8.

A double by Jessica England drove in two runs for Penn in the top of the seventh to make it 17-8. Dartmouth joined the Quakers in double digits in the final stanza when two runs scored on errors, but a strikeout closed the day.

The Big Green hit the road next for a three-game series with Yale. Game times for the doubleheader on Saturday are at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
