Their efforts are rewarded by being named the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Will Graber, Jr., Bloomfield, Colo., F, Men's Hockey
Will Graber bounced back after a rough start to 2019 in a big way Saturday night at Rensselaer. For the second time in as many seasons, Graber notched a hat trick on the Engineers' home ice, finishing with three goals and four points in Dartmouth's regular season finale. In doing so, the junior center from Colorado pushed Dartmouth into the fifth seed ahead of this week's postseason as the Green will play host to St. Lawrence. Graber became just the fourth Dartmouth player since 1970 to record hat tricks against the same team in either the current season or consecutive seasons and the first to do so on the road in both instances.Â
Kellen D'Alleva, Sr., Manhasset, N.Y., A, Women's Lacrosse
Kellen D'Alleva had a career day in Dartmouth's 15-11 win over Brown on Saturday afternoon. Playing in the Ivy League and home opener, D'Alleva delivered an eight-point effort thanks to a pair of goals and six assists. Looking for a bit of payback after the Bears defeated the Big Green last season to dash the team's hopes of a share of the Ivy League title, D'Alleva helped drive her team's offensive output that resulted in the league win. Coming into the game with just 32 career points, Saturday's performance was by far her best single-game performance in a Dartmouth uniform.Â
