The Big Green finished third
BRUNSWICK, Maine. – The No. 5 Dartmouth Coed sailing team qualified for nationals at the NEISA Championship on Saturday and Sunday at Bowdoin with a third-place finish.
The team consisted of seniors Christopher Williford, Mary Amis and Rebecca McElvain, juniors Audrey Giblin and Paige Clarke, sophomore Eloise Burn and freshman Cole Harris. The reserves for the Big Green were junior Jack McGraw and freshmen Carlota Hopkins-Guerra and Ryan Goldstein.
The Division A boat of Williford, McElvain, Amis and Burn kept the scoring low by placing in the top five in 10 out of the 14 races including two first-place finishes. The group also came in second four times.
The Division B boat of Giblin, Harris, Amis and Clarke placed in the top five four times with one first-place finish and one second-place mark.
Following the action, McElvain and Williford were named to the All-NEISA First Team. McGraw and Alyssa Berger were selected to the Second Team. Harris earned Rookie of the Year and Willliford was also named Sportsman of the Year.
