AMHERST, Mass. – The Dartmouth women's track team finished fifth at UMass on Saturday in the final tune-up before the 2019 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship.
The Big Green finished the day with 48 points.
HIGHLIGHTS
Brooke Brunet's win in the pole vault came thanks to her ability to clear 3.72m in one try. The lone vaulter able to clear the height, she would stall out trying to best the 3.90m bar.
The hammer throw saw Dartmouth claim the top-two spots in the final standings as Amelia Ali (51.57m) and Alexandra Collins (50.39m) posted the best throws of the afternoon. Interestingly enough, Ali's top mark came on her final mark and gave her the win, while Collins' best throw came on her first attempt and had her leading until the final round when she was passed by her teammate.
Diana Vizza claimed fourth in the 1500m in 4:47.06.
