NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Bulldog Invitational on Sunday, going 7-2 in singles against Brown and 1-2 in doubles versus UMass.
Against Brown, the Big Green won a trio of three-set matches. Freshman
Ashley Hess had a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 victory over Sophia Reddy, and senior
Allison McCann defeated Julia Newman, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1. Classmate
Chuyang Guan played against UMass' Shiran Arol Wiegand, winning by scores of 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.
Dartmouth played three doubles matches against the Minutewomen. Guan and fellow senior
Catherine Cable paired up to defeat Jasmin Tripathy and Ashley Avery, 6-4. Sophomore
Nicole Conard and freshman
Chidimma Okpara played a good match, narrowly falling by a score of 7-6(4).
The Green will have a few weeks until the ITA Northeast Regional Championship, which will take place at Army West Point from Oct. 17-22.
