
Cape Air Athletes of the Week - Lockhart & Campbell

The Big Green track teams have kicked of 2020 with two straight home meets. Junior Lily Lockhart has been an integral part of both successful weekends for the women's team. This past weekend the Delta, Colorado native won two events, outscoring Ivy rivals Yale and Columbia. On home ice the men's hockey team continues to be red-hot, jumping out to a 7-1-2 record in Thompson and a number 20 ranking in this weeks polls. Freshman Tyler Campbell was the latest skater to have his first multi-point game with an assist and a goal in a wi over Clarkson. Â
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Cape Air Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Cape Air Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Lily Lockhart, Jr., Delta, Colo., Throws, Women's Track and Field
In the second home meet in as many weekends, Lily Lockhart helped the Big Green women's indoor track & field team to another victory. Lockhart claimed the top of the podium in two events, winning the shot put with a 13.87m throw on her fourth attempt of the afternoon, while also claiming the event title in the weight throw with a 16.60m toss.
Tyler Campbell, Fr., Winnipeg, Manitoba, W, Men's Hockey
The rookie winger picked up his first career multi-point game in dramatic fashion Friday night against visiting No. 7 Clarkson. He started his night with an assist on Will Graber's goal, before potting his third of the year in the final 3 minutes to put the Green and White on top for good, 3-2. For Campbell, it was his first career game-winner and helped Dartmouth take down not only a top-10 team for the second time this season, but also the one at the top of the league standings.
