Harwick Adding 14 From Class of 2024 to Men's Track & Field/Cross Country

HANOVER, N.H. – The Herbert & Marjorie Chase Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country Barry Harwick '77 has announced the 14 student-athletes part of the Class of 2024 who are set to join the men's program this fall.

The diverse group of 14 represent 10 different US states as well as New Zealand. Heavy on throwers and distance runners, the group will feature seven individuals who will compete in both cross country as well as track when they find their way to Hanover.

CLASS HIGHLIGHTS
Will Chaffin won the Nike Northeast Regional Cross Country Championship and advanced to the national final. He also won the Massachusetts State Championship in the indoor two-mile.
Michael Gabriel graduated from high school in 2018 and has spent the last two years on a Mormon mission. As a high school senior, he was an All-American in both the weight throw during the indoor season and the hammer during the outdoor season where he was sixth at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals.
David Moore is the top high school distance runner in New Zealand. He has already run 14:46.15 in the 5000.
Will Daley was fourth in the Colorado state meet in the 1600m as a high school sophomore where he ran 4:17.43 at altitude.
Michael Walkosz ran the 400m in 48.66 during his junior year at Lockport High School.
