Senior Spotlight: Jade Bravo

Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their spring seasons canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior … Jade Bravo of the softball team.
Dartmouthsports.com: What have you been up to since returning home?
Jade Bravo: I have been spending time with my family, grilling and swimming with them almost every weekend. I've also been working on a project in my Engineering course to create a decision-making tool for individuals looking to reduce their carbon emissions which has kept me motivated and happy!
DS: What is your favorite place on campus?
JB: I can't say I have a favorite, but the most memorable place might be Couch, the engineering building's workplace. A lot of late nights but I'm missing the place for sure.
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
JB: Loghan Thomas. She's so smart, strong (physical and mentally!) and I just can't help but wonder what it's like to hit home runs off of front toss. Must be amazing.
DS: What has been your best on-field memory in your Dartmouth career?
JB: Winning the Ivy League Championship with my teammates. We worked so hard that year to be a winning team and it took all of us to do it.
DS: What are your post-Dartmouth plans?
JB: I'm planning on attending graduate school for a master's in Environmental Public Policy. My mind changes every week but for now, that's the plan.
DS: What is your hidden talent or something that someone might not know about you?
JB: I absolutely DESTROY on Just Dance. While ok on the dancefloor, I shred on the carpet of my living room.
DS: Do you have a nickname on your team? Who gave it to you and why?
JB: Yoda. I think an '18 on our team started calling me that because I said something she considered sage. I can't remember what it was now, but they seem to think I give good advice. Either that or it's because I'm short.
DS: What are you going to miss most about Dartmouth?
JB: My team and the convenience of getting to see and hang out with them every day. The seniors especially are the reason Dartmouth means so much to me. That and made to order salads from the Hop.
