THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth field hockey team travels down I-91 on Saturday as they take on Yale for an Ivy League contest and follow that up on Sunday with their final non-conference game of the 2021 season at Providence.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Big Green fell to Maine, 3-1, in non-conference action.
- The Bulldogs defeated Hoftra, 6-1, on Sunday.
- The Friars were defeated by #9 Liberty, 5-2, on Friday.
THE BIG GREEN
- Junior Holley Cromwell leads the Big Green offense with three goals and three assists through 14 games. Sophomore Bronwyn Bird has scored three goals and dished out one assist while sophomore Lila Browne has two goals and chipped in three assists.
- Senior Bee Hollyer scored her first career collegiate goal on Sunday against Maine. Fellow senior Cecelia Monnin provided her second assist of the season as her initial shot was saved.
- The Big Green continue to split time in goal this season between senior Isabella Santucci and junior Hatley Post, with each playing 435 minutes. They have combined for 90 saves this season, while Santucci had a season-high 10 saves against Maine.
SCOUTING YALE
- Yale enters the game with an overall record of 7-8, with a 2-3 record in Ivy League action.
- Lena Ansari and Theodora Dillman lead the Bulldog offense with eight goals each, with Ansari also assisting on five goals and Dillman assisting on four.
- Luanna Summer has played all but four minutes in goal for Yale this season, making 87 saves and allowing 31 goals.
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
- Providence hosts Quinnipiac on Friday evening. They enter the game at 6-10.
- Niamh Gowing leads the team in points with 15, scoring five goals and providing five assists. Lisa McNamara has 12 points on the season with two goals and eight assists for the Friars.
- Asia Porter has played the majority of the minutes in goal for Providence, making 108 saves while allowing 33 goals.
