THIS WEEKEND
Coming off a big win at Texas State earlier in the week, the Dartmouth women's basketball team is looking to make that two in a row when it faces Maine on Sunday. This will be the Big Green's last game before breaking for the holidays.
LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth led from start to finish against Texas State, downing the Bobcats in dominant fashion, 62-39.
- Adrienne Shibles, the Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 and Family Head Coach of Women's Basketball, picked up her first Division I victory and the program's first win over Texas State.
- Katie Douglas led with nine points, while Victoria Page was right behind with nine after going 3-for-5 in 3-pointers.
- Doreen Ariik was first with 10 rebounds while also getting a season-best eight points.
- The team shot a season-high 38.1 percent compared to Texas State's 24.6.
SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
Normally a team with a winning record every season, Maine has been struggling this year, entering Sunday's contest with a 2-7 mark.
The Black Bears are on a four-game losing streak after falling to Army, Princeton, Drexel and Rhode Island. Their two wins were two days apart against Yale (47-44) and Boston University (59-57).
LAST TIME VS. MAINE
On Dec. 10, 2019, the Big Green had a 57-41 victory over Maine at Leede Arena. This was the first time Dartmouth had defeated the Bears since 2006, breaking a six-game losing streak against the team from Vacationland.
Annie McKenna '20 led the way with 18 points and five assists while playing all but 31 seconds.
Anna Luce '21 was in double figures with 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Douglas tallied 10 points.
Elle Louie '21 chipped in seven points, four assists, four rebounds and four steals, and Paula Lenart '20 led the game with 11 rebounds to go along with five points.
