HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth field hockey head coach
Mark Egner has announced a trio of players will serve as team captains for the upcoming 2021 season.
Â
Rising-seniors
Sara Falkson and
Cecelia Monnin as well as rising-junior
Myah Pease will take on leadership roles this fall as the Big Green return to action.
Â
For Falkson, this will serve as a second year of captaincy as she was named to the position along with
Taylor Hantman '21 prior to the start of the 2020 season that was inevitably not played due to COVID-19.
Â
"We take leadership seriously on this team, and it's important to us that we give selecting our captains the time and attention that it deserves," Egner said. "Following a challenging year, I have confidence that Sara, Cece and Myah will lead us well during the 2021 season. They bring a range of experiences and insights to their roles and have committed themselves to being the kinds of leaders that our team wants."
Â
Monnin and Pease will be first-year captains when the season gets underway as their leadership and maturity were evident over the course of the last year of practices and activities without outside competition.
