FAIRFIELD, CONN. — The Big Green lost their first game of the season at Fairfield, Sunday afternoon by a score of 1-0. The Stags scored early in the 14th minute and Dartmouth was unable to answer.

The lone goal was scored early in the first half. Fairfield was able to find the back of the net in the 14th minute to make it a 1-0 game. The Big Green continued to fight and outshot the Stags 9-8 in the first 45 minutes but were unable to equalize.

Dartmouth and Fairfield went back and forth in the second half. Each team had five shots and junior goalkeeper
Charlotte Cyr made three saves to give her a total of five on the day. Dartmouth had a late corner kick with five minutes left but were unable to capitalize and the game ended with a score of 1-0 and ended the Big Green's five-game unbeaten streak.

Dartmouth returns to action this Thursday when Kansas comes to town for a 7 p.m. start that will be streamed live on ESPN+.
