It is like the last year and half never happened. The Big Green has hit the ground at full-speed and are making up for lost time. The volleyball team kicked off the 2021 season winning the Lehigh Steel tournament. Women's soccer has jumped out to a 3-0-1 record, tying on the road with number 8 Georgetown and downing George Mason 2-1. Ellie Blain had an outstanding tournament for the volleyball team and Charlotte Cyr continued her domination of the net for the women's soccer team.Â
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the week.

Ellie Blain, So., Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., OH/MB/RS, Volleyball
Sophomore Ellie Blain had a double-double (18K, 17D) to complete a weekend sweep as the Big Green volleyball team won the all three matches at the Lehigh Steel Tournament. On day one the 6-2 Blain led the team with 16 kills and a block, downing Binghamton, 3-0 and Lehigh, 3-1.
Charlotte Cyr, Sr., Wethersfield, Conn., GK, Women's Soccer
Charlotte Cyr had five saves as the Big Green came from behind to win on the road at George Mason, 2-1. At the start of the weekend the junior keeper stopped nine out of ten shots to hold on to a 1-1 draw with eighth-ranked Georgetown.
*this week goes to two female athletes due to none of the men's teams competing.Â
