Dartmouth Wins 10 Matches on Second Day of Road Tournament

Five Dartmouth women's tennis players ended the day undefeated after winning their singles and doubles matches
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Dartmouth women's tennis had another good day at the Brown Invitational, winning seven of 10 singles matches and three of five doubles matches on Saturday.
Five Big Green players went undefeated: Ashley Hess, Chidimma Okpara, Katie Weber, Lexi Dewire and Ujvala Jupalli.
Hess had a very close win against URI's Erin Chratian, 4-6, 6-4, 10-7, while Okpara had a 6-4, 6-4 defeat of Nadia Rajan, also from Rhode Island. The duo then paired up to edge Chratian and Rajan, 7-6(5).
Dewire and Jupalli also faced players from URI, with Dewire winning an even match with Paulina Loredo, 6-7(5), 6-4, 10-5 and Jupalli downing Tiara Higuchi in two quick sets, 6-2, 6-2. In doubles, the Big Green duo met those two again, winning by a score of 7-6(4).
Weber had an easy 6-2, 6-2 win over Brown's Ryan Peus and later played with Elizabeth Fahrmeier to down Peus and teammate Ali Benedetto, 6-4.
Dartmouth will return to the court on Sunday for the last day of the Brown Invitational.
