
Evans Named Assistant AD for Event Management and Operations

HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth Interim Director of Athletics and Recreation Peter Roby '79 has announced that Christian Evans has been named Assistant Athletics Director for Event Management and Operations.
Evans comes to Dartmouth from UCLA, where he spent seven months as the assistant director of event operations before being elevated to associate director of event operations in August 2018. While at UCLA, Evans served as the primary event administrator for women's basketball, women's gymnastics, men's volleyball, women's soccer, and women's volleyball, in addition to supporting with logistics for football and men's basketball. He also was the event administrator for numerous NCAA championship events, including the 2018 NCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship at Pauley Pavilion.
Prior to UCLA, Evans spent time at Kansas State University as an event operations graduate assistant and at the University of Texas as an event operations assistant.
Evans graduated from Temple University in 2016 with a degree in sport and recreation management with a focus on sport and recreation promotion. After Temple, Evans graduated from Kansas State University with a master's degree in counseling and student development with a focus on intercollegiate athletics.
Evans is a member of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) and served as a site representative for the 2019 and 2021 NCAA women's tennis regionals and super regionals at Pepperdine University.
