CLOSING OUT THE HOMESTAND
The Dartmouth women's soccer team continues its homestand on Saturday afternoon against Penn at Burnham Field followed by a Monday evening matchup against Colby-Sawyer.
LOOKING BACK TO MONDAY NIGHT
The Big Green defeated Merrimack in one of the most exciting games of college soccer this season. Facing a 1-0 deficit at the half, Dartmouth tied the game early in the second half through a chip from outside the box by
Aleena Seales. After going down 2-1 in the 72
nd minute,
Allie Winstanley tied the game in the 78
th minute with a calm finish from a difficult angle. The Big Green pushed forward in search of the winner, dominating play for the remaining 12 minutes. A poor clearance from Merrimack off a
Daisy Granholm cross fell perfectly to Winstanley to smash in the back of the net in the 89
th minute to give Dartmouth a 3-2 win.
