HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth volleyball's
Bomi Ogunlari was named Ivy League Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. The junior was instrumental both offensively and defensively in the Big Green's consecutive road wins over Columbia and Cornell.
Â
Ogunlari led the team with eight total blocks in a four-set win at Columbia as Dartmouth racked up a season-high 14 rejections. She also went for eight kills on just 12 attacks.
Â
The Rockwall, Texas native was remarkably efficient again the following night against Columbia, posting a .667 hitting percentage for a second straight match. Her nine kills were a key part of a balanced attack that powered the Big Green to their first three-set triumph over a conference opponent.
Â
Ogunlari currently leads the Ivy League with 1.25 blocks per set and is on pace for the best single-season mark in program history.
Â
Dartmouth is back in action Friday, Oct. 21 for a battle with Harvard at Leede Arena. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m. and the match will be aired on NESNÂ Plus.
