HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team wrapped up invitational action with four singles victories and a doubles win in Hanover while
Hikaru Takeda saw his impressive ITA Super Regional run come to an end in the quarterfinals.
Takeda had to win three matches at ITA Regionals to qualify for this weekend's tournament and his hot streak continued with two wins against fellow Ivy Leaguers to play among the final eight of the region. Harvard's Harris Walker came out on top with a semifinal bid on the line.
Back home, the Big Green enjoyed a successful finish to the Dartmouth Invitational as
Miles Groom,
Alex Knox-Jones,
Waleed Qadir and
Henry Ren each earned singles triumphs.
Logan Chang and
Alejandro Quiles added a doubles victory over Middlebury.
Dartmouth is back in action next weekend at Harvard's Halloween Invitational, which begins Friday, Oct. 28.
