The Dartmouth women's cross country team heads to New York for the 2022 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday.

"I'm really excited for the women to come together on Friday at the Ivy League Championship," said head coach Kendra Foley. "They have been looking forward to this since the conclusion of last year's championship. With Dartmouth's rich history in the Ivy League for cross country, this group is excited to represent that history and keep moving forward."

The Big Green took sixth in last year's Ivy League Championship, led by Corinne Robitaille, who finished 16th in the race.

Dartmouth got off to a hot start to begin the year as it won the Vermont Invite and the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational and finished third in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.

"Our top 7 has changed every race during the regular season and that is a display of our depth," Foley said. "Last year, we were the first Ivy League team to have all 12 cross the finish line and that is another example of the strength of depth that Dartmouth possesses. With two freshmen in the mix and 10 returners, it's going to be a great day for the Lone Pine Ladies."
