ETNA, N.H. – The Dartmouth equestrian team notched its first win of the season Saturday, defeating Bridgewater College on raw score at Morton Farm. The teams split the eight points, 4-4, but the Big Green picked up the victory due to a 598-486 edge in total points. Saturday was a matchup of the teams ranked No. 4 (Dartmouth) and No. 5 (Bridgewater) in the country in the single discipline rankings.
"Our team has grown a lot this season, and we had some standout rides today. To win in front of our home crowd on homecoming was pretty special," said head coach

Alexa Strauss won points over fences for the Big Green. Strauss' 85-point performance earned her the meet's Most Outstanding Player over fences.
Fifth-year
Claire Azar earned the team's lone point on the flat, 77-61. Her score held off a Bridgewater rally, forcing a tiebreaker based off total points.
Senior
Lona Girardin also picked up two exhibition points riding Bravado over fences and Chica on the flat.
The Big Green will round out the fall season when they travel to Sacred Heart on Saturday, Nov. 5.
