The Big Green have 14 teams in action over the next week
HANOVER, N.H. — Read up on the competition for the 14 Big Green teams in action over the week!
Men's Tennis – Fri. – Sun., Oct. 7-10
The Big Green are set to compete in the ITA Regionals at Army West point beginning Friday morning. Last time out, Dartmouth opened the fall slate at the Penn Invitational as Carlos Guerrero Alvarez and Waleed Qadir both went undefeated through three singles matches, including Guerrero Alvarez's win over the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year.
Volleyball – Fri. – Sat., Oct. 7-8
Dartmouth battles at Leede Arena for a second straight weekend as the Big Green host defending Ivy League Champion Brown, along with Yale, who's currently tied for first in the Ancient Eight. To see the full preview, please click HERE.
Women's Rugby – Sat., Oct. 8
After handing Army West Point its first loss with a thrilling 24-15 win over the Black Knights in an NIRA Championship rematch, the Big Green take their 12-match win streak to Mount St. Mary's. To see the full preview, please click HERE.
Field Hockey – Sat., Oct. 8
The Dartmouth field hockey team is set to face its second nationally ranked opponent in the last three road games (and first top 10 opponent since 2019), as the Big Green travel to No. 8 Princeton on Saturday to face the Tigers. Football – Sat., Oct. 8
The football team travels to Yale for its second Ivy League showdown after losing the last two games in heartbreaking fashion in overtime. To see the full preview, please click HERE.
Women's Cross Country – Sat., Oct. 8
The Big Green head out to Boston on Saturday for the New England Championship. The meet will be held at Franklin Park where they had success earlier in the season, finishing third in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
Dartmouth claimed third in the event last year, led by an eighth-place finish from Ellie Tymorek.
Men's Cross Country – Sat., Oct. 8
Dartmouth heads to Boston on Saturday for the New England Championship. The meet will be held at Franklin Park where they had success earlier in the season, finishing second in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
The Big Green, the reigning New England Champion, will look to defend their title with another first-place finish. They placed three runners inside the top 10 a year ago, led by Liam Jamieson who finished in fourth.
Women's Soccer – Sat., Oct. 8 + Mon., Oct. 10
The Big Green kick off a four-game homestand on Saturday as they host Yale in an Ivy League contest. Dartmouth will have a quick turnaround as they play again on Monday when they play Merrimack in a nonconference tilt. To see the full preview, please click HERE.
Men's Soccer – Sat., Oct. 8 + Tues., Oct. 11
The Dartmouth men's soccer team heads to Philadelphia to take on Penn on Saturday night. The Big Green look to remain unbeaten on the road in an Ivy League matchup against the Quakers, who are currently tied for first in the conference. To see the full preview, please click HERE.
Following Saturday's match, the Big Green return home for a Tuesday night nonconference game against Hartford. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Full preview to be released Monday.
Men's Ice Hockey – Sat., Oct. 8
The Big Green open their season on Saturday evening as they welcome McGill University to Thompson Arena for a scrimmage. Dartmouth added eight new players to the mix for the 2022-23 season, in addition to the 20 returning players. Saturday's scrimmage will be free of charge and open to the public.
Sailing – Sat., - Sun., Oct. 8-9
The Big Green sailing program is back in action for their fifth weekend of competition. Dartmouth heads to four events, hosted by Connecticut College, Bowdoin, Salve Regina and Saint Mary's College.
Last weekend, Dartmouth's Oliver Hurwitz and Drew Clutterbuck picked up a win in the "A" division at the Smith Trophy event, while the Big Green claimed third place finishes at two regattas.
Women's Hockey – Sun., Oct. 9
The Dartmouth women's hockey team opens its 2022-23 season with an exhibition this Sunday against the McGill Redbirds at Thompson Arena. The Big Green hit the ice for their lone exhibition prior to regular season play, which begins on Oct. 21 on the road against Harvard. Admission for the exhibition is free of charge and is open to the public.
Men's Golf – Mon., - Tues., Oct. 10-11
Following a strong showing at the Columbia Autumn Invitational last weekend, the Big Green men's golf team heads to Sonoma, California to take part in the Alister MacKenzie Invitational. The event, hosted by Cal, serves as Dartmouth's final action of the fall season.
Eli Kimche looks to build upon his stellar performance in Lake Placid, N.Y. last weekend. The sophomore recorded his second consecutive top-3 finish and shot 9-under par, helping the Big Green to third place.
Women's Golf – Mon., - Tues., Oct. 10-11
Coming off a solid showing at the Princeton Invitational, the Big Green head to famed Baltusrol in Springdale, New Jersey, for a good old-fashioned conference showdown as the six Ivy League teams match up against six ACC schools (Clemson, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, NC State and Notre Dame) for two days beginning on Monday, Oct. 10.
Co-captains Samantha Yao and Katherine Sung — fresh off winning the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Qualifying Round in Massachusetts this week — lead a deep Dartmouth squad into the challenge. The action on Monday will consist of 36 holes on the lower course followed by a match-play round on the upper course on Tuesday.
