SHELTON, Conn. — Senior
CC Bowlby scored twice as the Dartmouth women's hockey team rolled to a 6-0 win on the road against Post. The Big Green passed their first non-conference test with flying colors as Dartmouth secured its second win of the 2022-23 season on Tuesday.
The Big Green also saw two players score their first collegiate goals, as freshman forward Vanessa Stamper and junior defender
Sophie Robinson each scored their first.
Laura Fuoco scored a goal for the third-consecutive game, while
Georgia Kraus scored her first goal of the season.
Sophomore goaltender
Maggie Emerson was sharp when called upon as she recorded an eight-save shutout. Dartmouth dominated throughout the game, outshooting Post 38-8 over the course of the afternoon.
Dartmouth dominated in the faceoff circle, winning 33 of 49 draws. Bowlby was particularly dominant, winning 15 of 18 faceoffs in Tuesday's win.

Maggie Emerson. I'm proud of our effort and response, especially in the final two periods."
The Big Green opened the game on the back foot, as Post sent a trio of shots toward Emerson in the first four minutes, all of which were turned aside. Dartmouth got on the board first in the seventh minute of the opening period, as Bowlby ripped a shot over Post goaltender Grace Glasrud's shoulder to give the Big Green a 1-0 lead.
Dartmouth took a one-goal lead into the first intermission, outshooting Post 10-5 through the first 20 minutes of play.
The Big Green tacked on a pair of goals in the second period to extend the lead to 3-0.
Sophie Robinson fired a shot from the point, which beat Glasrud in the eighth minute. Bowlby again found the top shelf just over three minutes later to increase the lead.
The ice was tilted toward Post's net throughout the period, as Dartmouth poured on pressure. The Big Green recorded 16 shots on goal, while Post only managed to challenge Emerson once.
The third period could not have started better for Dartmouth, as the Big Green scored twice in the opening minute of the final frame. Stamper registered her first goal with the Big Green just 37 seconds into the period. Fuoco followed Stamper's goal with one of her own just 10 seconds later.
Dartmouth continued to dominate as the third period progressed. The Big Green looked for offense, despite their large lead. Kraus increased Dartmouth's advantage to six goals in the 16th minute of the period, which was assisted by freshman Cally Dixon.
The Big Green fired four more shots on goal in the final four minutes. Dartmouth cruised to a 6-0 victory, improving to 2-6-0 and 1-0-0 in non-conference play. Post fell to 1-9-0 and 0-1-0 outside of NEWHA competition.
Dartmouth improved to 3-0-0 against Post in the all-time series after knocking off the Eagles twice at home during the 2021-22 season. Emerson recorded her second shutout of the season with Tuesday's win.
The Big Green will next take the ice for a home-and-home against Saint Anselm from November 26-27. Dartmouth first takes on the Hawks on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Manchester, New Hampshire, before hosting their non-conference foe on Sunday at 3 p.m. Sunday's home contest against Saint Anselm will be streamed on ESPN+.
