Will Daley,
Rahul Batlanki and
Karl-Oskar Pajus have been selected as the captains of the men's track and field team for the 2022-23 season, as voted on by their teammates.
Daley, a junior from Denver, Colorado, was a member of the DMR team that finished first at last year's Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships. Daley ran the 1600m leg of the race. In the outdoor season, Daley finished fifth in the 5000m race at the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships.
Hailing from Flower Mound, Texas, Batlanki specializes in jumps for the Big Green. During the 2021-22 season, he finished inside the top 5 on 10 different occasions, including three wins. He jumped a personal best of 14.64m in the triple jump at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships.
Pajus, a sophomore from Tallinn, Estonia, competes in the multis for Dartmouth. Pajus had a breakout year for the Big Green a season ago. In the indoor season, he capped off a strong campaign with a second-place finish in the heptathlon at the Ivy League Championships. Pajus ended the track and field season by winning the decathlon at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships with 7196 points.
