BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Dartmouth men's hockey team fell to Vermont, 5-1, on Sunday in non-conference action at Gutterson Fieldhouse. Dartmouth moves to 1-10-1 while Vermont is now 6-11-1 on the season.

Tyler Campbell scored the lone goal of the day for the Big Green.
Cooper Black made 30 saves in net while the Dartmouth defense blocked six shots.

 Philip Törnqvist, Thomas Sinclair, Dawson Good, Jens Richard and Isak Walther each scored for the Catamounts. Robbie Stucker had two assists.

Vermont scored twice inside the opening nine minutes and once more in the final two minutes of the first period to take a 3-0 lead into the second.

The Catamounts nearly added to their lead early in the second period. After the Big Green went on the penalty kill, Vermont almost scored their fourth of the night, but Black slid across goal to make the pad save. Vermont later scored an unassisted goal midway through the period.

The Big Green got on the board early in the third period after an incredible solo effort from Campbell. In the Dartmouth offensive zone, Campbell poked it away from Vermont's defenseman, regaining possession. Campbell immediately burst towards goal and fired a shot into the left side of the net for his first goal of the season.
From there, Dartmouth put the pressure on as 10 of its 18 shots on goal came in the third period.

Vermont added an empty net goal in the final few minutes after the Big Green pulled Black to go with the extra man advantage.

Dartmouth returns to action after the holiday break for the 33
rd annual Ledyard Classic on December 30
th and 31
st. The Big Green welcome Merrimack, Providence, and Yale to Thompson Arena. The Big Green take on the Warriors on the first night of the tournament with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. All four games in the Ledyard Classic will be available to stream on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet.
