OXFORD, Ohio — The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team improved its positioning at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational during the second day of competition, leapfrogging Youngstown State to now rank fourth heading into the final day of action in Oxford, Ohio.

Joe Moll was part of the Big Green's productive Friday with a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 3:59.09. He narrowly edged
Alexander Ye, who finished fifth at 3:59.51.

Tim Park notched another fourth-place finish for Dartmouth, doing so in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:39.05. Like the 400 IM, the Big Green took both fourth and fifth as
Yan Dvoretskiy placed fifth (1:40.26). Park and Dvoretskiy both earned personal bests in the 100 butterfly with times of 49.37 and 50.13 respectively.

In relay action, the 800 freestyle team of Moll,
Colton Rasmussen, Dvoretskiy and Park placed third with a time of 6:37.57. The 200 medley relay team, consisting of Moll,
Taka Khoo, Ye and
Tim Cushman also helped the Big Green pick up key points with a 1:30.69 mark and a sixth-place finish.

On the 1-meter diving board,
Everett Tai appeared in the B Final and dominated that group with a score of 298.35, which was better than all but two of the A finalists.

Grand Canyon still sits atop the standings heading into the closing day of the invitational. Saturday's prelims take place at 9 a.m. and finals begin at 4 p.m.
