OXFORD, Ohio — The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team finished fifth with 378 points at the MiamI University Invitational, which wrapped up Saturday in Oxford, Ohio.

Grand Canyon claimed the top spot, and other competing programs included Ball State, Youngstown State, Ouachita Baptist, Ashland and Anderson, plus the host, Miami (Ohio).

"The team saw a lot of growth through some great competition over the past three days. We had a lot of lifetime bests, saw numerous program all-time top-10 performances and put together some competitive relays," said head coach
Milana Socha. "Building on lessons learned from this meet, I'm excited to see what they throw down on the training trip in preparation for championship season as they are all hungry for even more."

Joe Moll turned in another impressive performance, placing second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:46.83, a top-five time in program history, after finishing third in prelims. He previously placed fourth in the 400 IM during Friday's finals.

Yan Dvoretskiy placed fifth in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:06.73 after a personal-best 15:56.84 in prelims. He was also an A finalist in the 200 butterfly and placed seventh with a time of 1:52.68. The freshman previously finished fifth in Thursday's 500 freestyle and Friday's 200 freestyle.

Adam Ladman and
Tim Park finished fifth with a time of 3:01.98.

Eddy Chen was an A finalist in the 200 yard breaststroke and placed seventh at 2:01.96.
Alexander Ye had a strong showing in the 200 breaststroke C Final with a personal-best time of 2:02.77.

Everett Tai took fourth in platform diving, receiving a score of 279.10.

The Big Green return to action Sunday, Dec. 18 to compete in the CSCAA Open Water Championship in Biscayne Bay, Florida. They're back to Ivy League competition Friday, Jan. 13 at Yale following a dual meet at Bates on Saturday, Jan. 7.
