ITHACA, N.Y. – Seventh-seeded Dartmouth women's tennis fell to No. 2 Harvard, 5-0, in its first match of the 2022 ECAC Indoor Championship on Friday.
Dartmouth (4-3) vs. Harvard (4-1)
Crimson victories at the No. 1 and 2 doubles gave them the first point. On court three, Lexi Dewire and Chloe Yoo were narrowly trailing, 5-4, when the match went unfinished.
Harvard won at the No. 2 and 4 singles to make it a 3-0 match, while simultaneous finishes on courts three and one clinched the match. In the Yoo vs. You match at the No. 5 spot, the score was tied at 5-5 in the second set when it was ended early.
Jingyi Peng won the first set at the No. 6 position and the second set was tied at 3-3 before going unfinished.
The Big Green will meet the No. 6 Bears at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
