ITHACA, N.Y. – Seventh-seeded Dartmouth women's tennis suffered a 4-2 loss to No. 6 Brown on the second day of the 2022 ECAC Indoor Championship on Saturday.
The Big Green won the first point following victories at the No. 1 and 2 doubles positions.
Katie Weber and
Elizabeth Fahrmeier had a 6-3 win at the top spot to get things started, while
Chidimma Okpara and
Ashley Hess defeated their opponents, 6-1, soon after.
Bear wins on courts six and three put them ahead by one before Fahrmeier added a 6-3, 7-5 victory at the No. 4 position to make it a 2-2 match. Brown clinched after winning at the No. 1 and 2 spots, with both going to three sets.
Chloe Yoo was leading, 3-0, in the third set on court four when her match went unfinished.
Dartmouth will end the championship against host and eighth-seeded Cornell at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
