ITHACA, N.Y. – Dartmouth women's tennis defeated Cornell, 4-3, in a back-and-forth match on the last day of the ECAC Indoor Championship on Sunday to finish in seventh place overall.

After the Big Red won at the No. 1 doubles,
Chidimma Okpara and
Ashley Hess followed that up with a 6-2 victory on court two. With it all coming down to play at the No. 3 position,
Chloe Yoo and
Lexi Dewire played a tough match against Valerie Ho and Lan Mi, narrowly falling, 7-6(7).
Cornell made it 2-0 following its win on court one in singles before Yoo added a 6-1, 7-6(0) win of her own at the No. 5 position. A Big Red victory at the No. 2 position was answered by
Katie Weber's 7-5, 6-4 defeat of Maria Adiaconitei at the No. 3 spot. With the other team ahead, 3-2, Fahrmeier tied things up with her three-set win at the No. 4 position, while
Ujvala Jupalli clinched by defeating Fatima El Ashram, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 6 spot.
The Big Green will have almost two weeks off before hitting the road to take on Maryland and Navy.
