LA JOLLA, Calif. – Dartmouth women's tennis blanked UC San Diego on Sunday, 4-0, to pick up its first West-Coast victory on its 2022 spring break. The Big Green improved to 6-5 while the Tritons fell to 2-13.
After
Katie Weber and
Elizabeth Fahrmeier started the match off with a 6-4 win at the top spot, the home team answered with a 6-4 victory over its own at the No. 2 position. A 7-5 win by
Chloe Yoo and
Lexi Dewire on court three gave Dartmouth a 1-0 advantage.
The Green claimed the win with straight set victories at No. 5, 3 and 2.
Ujvala Jupalli kicked things off with a score of 6-2, 6-2, followed by Weber and her 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Adriana Tabares.
Ashley Hess clinched with her 7-6(3), 6-2 win over Katelyn Vu.
On Wednesday, Dartmouth will face San Diego State.
