SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Dartmouth women's tennis was defeated by San Diego State, 4-0, at the Aztec Tennis Center on Wednesday. The Big Green are now 6-6, while the Aztecs improved to 8-4.
Elizabeth Fahrmeier and
Katie Weber had a 6-4 victory at the No. 1 doubles, but very close SDSU victories on courts two and three – both of which Dartmouth had match point – gave the home team a 1-0 lead into singles.
Aztecs wins at the No. 2, 5 and 4 allowed the home team to clinch. At No. 3 singles, Weber won her second set by a score of 6-3 when the match went unfinished.
The Big Green will play one final match on Thursday against Long Beach State before heading home to kick off Ivy League play.
