Fasanelli in Third Place After Day One of UMass Multis Meet

The senior is off to a strong start and will wrap up the heptathlon on Thursday.
AMHERST, Mass — Senior Gabriela Fasanelli of the Dartmouth women's track and field team sits in third place in the heptathlon after the first day of events at the UMass Multis Meet.

Competing at UMass' Track & Field Complex on Wednesday, Fasanelli has already had a strong start setting a new personal outdoor record in high jump (1.65m) and in the 200m dash (27.03), just .04 seconds off her lifetime best. She also took first in shot put, throwing 10.56m.

Fasanelli will look to climb up the leaderboard tomorrow as she will compete in long jump, javelin, and the 800m run.
