The Dartmouth men's track and field team competed in two separate meets today, the second day of the Virginia Challenge and the opening day of the George Davis Invitational at UMass Lowell.
Down in Virginia, the Big Green had a great day as more events got underway.
Jason Wang placed fifth in his respective heat in his first collegiate 3000m steeplechase, finishing with a time of 9:12.34, good enough for eighth on the Ivy League performance list.
Will Daley had quite the showing in the 5000m as broke the 14-minute barrier, crossing the finish line at 13:57.95. The time is ninth best in program history, third in the Ivy League this season, and a potential NCAA East Regional qualifying time.
Nils Wildberg, competing in the long jump, jumped a PR of 7.07m, good for ninth in the Ivy League.
Shifting over to opening day of George Davis Invitational,
Drew Palermo and
Matt Krogh finished second and fourth in the hammer throw. Palermo threw for a mark of 56.07m while Krogh threw for a PR of 50.50m, topping his previous best by 3m.
Dartmouth will compete in the final day of competition at both the Virginia Challenge and the George Davis Invitational on Saturday.
