HANOVER, N.H. – Maddie Hawkins,
Aisling Sullivan, and
Carlota Hopkins Guerra of the Dartmouth women's sailing team each received All-Ivy recognition, announced by the league on Thursday morning.
This is the inaugural season for women's sailing as an Ivy League sport.
Hawkins and Sullivan were named to the All-Ivy First Team while Hopkins Guerra earned a spot on the Academic All-Ivy League Women's Sailing Team for her performance on the water and in the classroom as the senior boasts a 3.48 GPA as an engineering sciences major.
The trio were instrumental for the Big Green this season, leading them to their first NEISA Women's Championship since 2000, and a fifth-place finish at the Women's Team Race National Championship.
These are the second honors for Hawkins and Hopkins Guerra this season as Hawkins was named NEISA Women's Skipper of the Year and Hopkins Guerra was named NEISA Women's Crew of the Year after leading the team to the title.
