FAIRLEE, Vt. — Ranked second nationally in the latest rowing polls, the Cornell Big Red rowed past the Dartmouth Big Green to retain the Baggaley Cup. Races were moved up by a half-hour this morning due to predicted high winds and choppy water. The seventh-ranked Dartmouth boat paired off with the Cornell varsity with the Big Red finishing first in a time of 5:53.0 followed closely by the Big Green in 5:57.3.
Cornell also won the second and third varsity races which were raced in calm water before the wind speed picked up.
