HANOVER, N.H. — Koenig Family Head Coach of Dartmouth Men's Hockey
Reid Cashman has been named to the 2023 United States National Junior Team coaching staff, announced by USA Hockey on Tuesday afternoon.

Cashman will serve as an assistant coach, and this will be his first appearance representing the U.S. on the international stage.

"I am honored to be selected to represent USA at the World Juniors," Cashman said. "This is a dream opportunity for me to coach in the best tournament in the world. I look forward to being a part of this phenomenal staff as we pursue a gold medal."

The team will compete at the 2023 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Junior Championship from Dec. 26, 2022 – Jan. 5, 2023. The location is expected to be announced later this month by the IIHF.

Cashman will join the staff helmed by Quinnipiac Head Coach Rand Pecknold. Cashman was a three-time All-American defenseman for Pecknold during his time at Quinnipiac. He also served on Pecknold's coaching staff at Quinnipiac for five seasons, two as Associate Head Coach, making two trips to the Frozen Four and finished as the national finalist in 2013 and 2016.

The rest of the staff will be assistant coach Pat Ferschweiler (Western Michigan), goaltending coach Jared Waimon (Tampa Bay Lightning), and video coach Shawn Roche (Quinnipiac).
