Â
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Dartmouth lightweight team will be bringing three boats on Sunday to the Eastern Sprints, the annual rowing championship for the men's Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC). The races once again will be contested on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Â
The seventh-ranked Big Green had a bye week after winning the Baggaley Bowl over Cornell the previous weekend. Head coach
Dan Roock's crew have had a very successful spring thus far, finishing first or second in all five races, including victories in the Baggaley Bowl and the Biglin Bowl, defeating Harvard in the latter.
Â
Coach Roock commented on the upcoming race, "The lightweight league is fast and competition is tight. We haven't won many races this year, but all three crews have improved. The Eastern Sprints is a chance for us to see how far we've come. We're excited to race."
