HANOVER, N.H. — Lucy Handy, a junior rower from Providence, Rhode Island, earned a spot on the Academic All-Ivy Team as announced by the league on Wednesday.
Noted by Head Coach
Nancy LaRocque as one of the squads most consistent starters, Handy had the highest GPA on the team. Majoring in English modified with Human Centered Design, she raced in both the 2nd and 1st varsity eights all spring. Coach LaRocque says, " She is one of the strongest performers in the junior class and in the boathouse. She is also an exceptional teammate. She is kind, thoughtful and leads by example."
One student-athlete from each institution was recognized for their commitment in the classroom and on the water as members of the 2022 Ivy League Women's Rowing Academic All-Ivy team. To qualify for a spot on the league's top academic team, these student-athletes have made major contributions to their teams throughout their careers.
