HANOVER, N.H. — Junior
Julia Fenerty of the Dartmouth women's track and field team will compete at the NCAA East Regional on Thursday.
The NCAA East Regional will be held at the University of Indiana's Haugh Track & Field Complex.
Fenerty will compete in the 800m first round on Thursday at 7:50 PM. The semifinal for the event will be held on Saturday at 7:05 PM.
Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn a berth into the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds. In addition, the best 24 relays times advance to the NCAA preliminaries. All 48 competitors will compete in the preliminary rounds, with the top 24 advancing to the semifinals. Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay times will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Fenerty earns her spot in the regional prelims after running the 800m in 2:05.79, the second-fastest time in program history, at the Princeton Elite on May 14. Earlier this month, Fenerty landed on the All-Ivy Second Team after running the anchor leg for the second-place Big Green in the 4x800m relay at the Ivy League Championships.
