NEW ORLEANS — The Dartmouth men's track & field program was recognized on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The men's program was honored as a 2022 All-Academic Team. To earn the distinction, a team must post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the entire year.
The Big Green posted a 3.494 GPA, the fourth-best mark by any of the seven Ivy League teams to make the list.
In addition to the All-Academic team honors, Dartmouth's
Jake Dalton,
Karl-Oskar Pajus and
Myles Schreck were recognized as 2022 USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes. All three were recognized for the honor as they met the criteria of at least a 3.25 GPA. Additionally, they needed to have finished the season in the top 96 for any championship individual event or in the top 48 in any championship relay event (indoor season), or participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships during the outdoor season or for the multi-events, must have finished ranked in the top 48 in the East or top 48 in the West.
Schreck, a captain and an economics major, and Dalton, an environmental studies major, both earn their spots on the list having competed in the hammer throw at the NCAA East Regional. Pajus, currently undeclared, ranked 12
th in the decathlon in the East.
