Getting Started
Dartmouth Peak Performance (DP2) is a comprehensive program designed to position student-athletes to achieve the highest levels of physical, intellectual, and personal growth during their careers at Dartmouth. Our collaborative approach is centered on providing the premier student-athlete experience through promoting holistic development, driving a championship culture, and building leaders for life.
DP2 serves as an umbrella for the integration of services and resources to help Big Green student-athletes pursue excellence in all areas of their lives. We take pride in helping people win on and off the proverbial playing fields, but our ultimate goal is to use the opportunities we have through sport to help our Dartmouth student-athletes build skills, habits, values, and relationships that last far longer than their years in a Dartmouth uniform.
Getting Started with DP2:
ACADEMIC SUPPORT: The DP2 Academic Support team of Liz Johnson (Liz.Johnson@dartmouth.edu; schedule here: https://calendly.com/lizjohnsondp2) and Stacey Bridges (Stacey.M.Bridges@dartmouth.edu; schedule here: https://calendly.com/staceybridges) are here to help with academic advising, course selection discussions, study skill/time management development, D-planning, and connecting you with campus resources.
STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT: Liz Johnson, Assistant Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development, helps student-athletes through the transitions to college and beyond. Through thoughtful, intentional, and strategic planning, DP2 Student-Athlete Development offers Big Green student-athletes with yearly goals, expectations, and collaborative programming to "Guide their Growth" at Dartmouth. We ensure that pivotal transitional moments are supported by resources and staff that center community building in the pursuit of personal and professional development. Schedule Career or Person Growth meetings with Liz.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT: Lori McBride (lori.mcbride@dartmouth.edu), Associate Athletics Director for External Relations oversees DP2 Career Connections and works closely with Liz Johnson, Assistant Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development, and The Center for Professional Development (CPD). All student-athletes are encouraged to log into Handshake system and create a profile. Handshake provides access to CPD workshops, coaching appointments, how-to guides, and internship resources, as well as targeted invitations to employer events/opportunities that may match students' unique interests.Â

He meets with student-athletes for one-on-one coaching sessions for student-athletes focusing leadership development and mental skills training.
