SATURDAY NIGHT SOCCER
The Dartmouth women's soccer team is back at Burnham Field for their Ivy League opener against Brown, the reigning Ivy champion.
LOOKING BACK TO SUNDAY AFTERNOON
The Big Green saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on the road against UMass Lowell. Dartmouth took a 2-0 lead inside the opening 20 minutes through goals from
Aspen Anderson and
Allie Winstanley. The River Hawks scored twice from set pieces later in the half to make it a 2-2 game going into halftime. UMass Lowell scored the winner in the 71
st minute to take the victory.
PLAY WITH PRIDE
Saturday's contest will be the Play With Pride game. The week of September 18-24 is United Soccer Coaches' Play With Pride Week.
Each September, soccer programs across the country join United Soccer Coaches in showing their support for athletes and coaches of all sexual orientations and gender identities by wearing rainbow laces to support diversity and inclusion in the game. Play with Pride is an initiative developed by the association's LGBTQ+ and Allies Coaches Community.

Winstanley leads the team in scoring with seven goals while
Aleena Seales and Anderson each have three.
Mary Lundregan has a team-high four assists after picking up another one on Sunday.
Sydney Brown and Winstanley are right behind with three apiece.
Leading from the back is
Charlotte Cyr playing all but nine minutes in goal for Dartmouth. She has made 44 saves with three clean sheets and has a save percentage of .815.
Among the Ivy League, Winstanley is first in goals (7), points (17) and game-winning goals (4) and is second in shots on goal (18). Lundregan is tied for first in assists (4). Cyr is first in saves per game (5.50), tied for first in shutouts (3) and is second in save percentage.
UP THERE WITH THE BEST
Winstanley is currently in the top 10 nationally for several statistical categories. She ranks third in game-winning goals (4), ninth in goals per game (0.88) and tenth in goals (7) and points per game (2.12).
SCOUTING BROWN
The Bears enter Saturday's contest with a 5-2-1 overall record. In their last contest, Brown fell to Oklahoma State, 2-0, on the road on Sunday afternoon.
Ava Seelenfreund leads the Bears in scoring with six goals while Brittany Raphino is second with three. Sheyenne Allen has a team-high four assists with Kayla Duran right behind with three. Brown has split goaltenders this season with Clare Gagne and Bella Schopp taking turns in net. Gagne has handled most of the responsibility, starting six of their eight games played. They have combined for 17 saves while allowing just seven goals.
The Bears have won just one of their previous four games coming in a 3-0 victory over in-city rival Providence.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BEARS
It's been an even series over the years as Brown has a slight advantage with a 22-21-3 record all-time against Dartmouth. The Bears got the last laugh in their previous matchup, taking a 4-1 win at Stevenson-Pincince Field during the 2021 season.
The Big Green have the upper hand on home grass with a 13-8-2 record and will try to use that to their advantage as they have just one win in the previous seven meetings.
