HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's hockey team is set for a pair of ECAC Hockey contests at Thompson Arena this weekend. The Big Green first host Union on Military Appreciation Night this Friday, followed by a Saturday afternoon tilt against RPI. Dartmouth looks to climb the ECAC Hockey standings with two crucial victories.

LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green last took the ice Friday, January 13 for a contest against the Harvard Crimson. Dartmouth and Harvard battled into overtime, with the Crimson claiming the win by a score of 3-2.
Sophomore goaltender
Maggie Emerson stopped 31 of 34 shots on goal she faced from Harvard. The Belmont, Massachusetts native kept the Big Green in the game, turning away14 shots away in the second period.
Lauren Messier and
Jenna Donohue found the back of the net for the Big Green. Freshman
Shae Messner recorded an assist on Dartmouth's first goal, which marked her first collegiate point.
Dartmouth recorded 16 blocked shots, including four from
Laura Fuoco.
CC Bowlby was effective in the faceoff circle, winning eight of 14 draws against Harvard.
LOOKING TO PROTECT HOME ICE
The Big Green are in search of their first win at Thompson Arena this season. Dartmouth has been unsuccessful in its first seven home games of the 2022-23 season and look to protect home ice against Union and RPI.
Dartmouth has been outscored 24-14 in seven games at Thompson Arena. The Big Green's wins have come exclusively on the road, which the program looks to remedy throughout the second half of the season.
Despite the Big Green's offensive struggles at home, Dartmouth has only recorded 11 fewer shots on goal then their opponents at Thompson Arena.
The Big Green's last home victory came January 2, 2022, against New Hampshire by a score of 4-3 in overtime. Dartmouth is in search of its first home ECAC Hockey win since knocking off then-No. 9 Cornell, 4-3 on October 30, 2021.
SCOUTING UNION
Union enters Friday's matchup with a 10-13-1 record, including a 3-9-1 mark in ECAC Hockey play.
The Dutchwomen have lost their last four contests against Cornell, Colgate, St. Lawrence and Clarkson. Union has been outscored 27-2 during this skid.
The trio of Riley Walsh, Emily King and Celeste Beaudoin have led their team offensively this season, combining for 48 points, including 23 goals. Goaltender Stephanie Matsoukas has started all 24 contests for Union between the pipes.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE DUTCHWOMEN
Dartmouth holds a 29-6-2 record against Union in the all-times series. The Dutchwomen have seen recent success against the Big Green, winning the last three meetings between the programs.
Earlier this season, Union knocked off the Big Green in overtime by a score of 5-4. Dartmouth led by three goals in the third period, but could not hold off the Dutchwomen's comeback.
Dartmouth's last home win over Union came on November 20, 2018 by a score of 4-2. The Big Green will look for their 30
th win over Union this weekend.
SCOUTING RPI
RPI holds a record of 6-17-1 with a 2-10-1 ECAC Hockey mark, including a 2-11-0 record on the road.
The Engineers were successful in their last contest against St. Lawrence at home. RPI defeated the Skating Saints by a score of 2-0, with Amanda Rampado recording a 30-save shutout.
Ellie Kaiser leads the Engineers with 15 points in 24 games. Rampado has started all 24 tilts for RPI and has been tough to score on. Despite 17 losses, the senior holds a stellar save percentage of .926 and a goals against average of 2.20.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE ENGINEERS
Dartmouth leads the all-time series against RPI, 21-9-4. The Big Green have won the last two contests between the teams, both of which took place in Troy, New York.
The Big Green have won four of the last five meetings between the teams and have outscored RPI 14-5 in this stint.
The Big Green look to secure a season sweep of the Engineers following a 2-0 win on the road earlier this season.
